Hangar 18 live at The Hop
Puente Hills, CA
March 9, 2005

Headbanging on Humpday? Hangar 18 proved that sleep was highly overrated as they invaded Wednesday night at The Hop in Puente Hills.

Hangar 18 was brought on stage by Jugulur's flamboyant bassplayer, aptly named Monster.

William "Fro Mustiane" Rustrum, Melanie "Mellefson" Sisneros and Marty "Vic" Doty headbang during "Wake Up Dead" -- sometimes referred to during rehearsals as "Wake Up Dave," just for drummer Dave Scott Chedrick Samuelson!

Speaking of Dave Scott Chedrick Samelson, Hangar 18's skinsman was pleased to find that The Hop's roomy stage easily accomodated his rather large drumset.

The show was presented by The Metal Scene, a new cable TV program that focuses on the Los Angeles local metal scene and is hosted by Hangar 18's very own Mellefson.

The show ran an hour late, but when asked whether or not he had to be up early the next day, new father Marty "Vic" Doty cheerfully replied, "Yes, at 2a, 4a, and 5:30a."

Can you picture Fro Mustaine as a mad scientist? When not slinging his big bad axe, Fro teaches science to youngsters.

The men of Hangar 18! The stage and sound system at The Hop were state-of-the-art like the speed metal band to which Hangar 18 pay tribute!

Mellefson says something obviously interesting to Fro. Perhaps it was something like, "Hey, the gravity has finally pulled your fro down!"

Hangar 18's stringsfolk spread across the roomy Hop stage.

Dave Scott Chedrick Samuelson is a man of many hats: work, school, teaching drums, Hirax, and Hangar 18. And he's still always the first one up in the morning for a daily jog. Sources closest to Dave Scott actually suspect that there may be two.
