Hangar 18 Live at The Shack
Anaheim, CA
January 17, 2003
After
tromping around the NAMM show, Hangar 18 made their way down to The
Shack in Anaheim, for a night of tributes featuring Anthem (a tribute
to Rush), OC/DC (tribute to AC/DC), Nightmare (tribute to Alice Cooper),
plus kick-ass original metal act Throttle.

The Shack was packed with headbangin' metalheads when Hangar 18 took
the stage. This would the The Shack's last hurrah, as it changes owners
at the end of January. The long era of The Shack providing live music
to the 18+ Orange County crowd as ended. We'd like to thank The Shack
and the Schultzes for the opportunity to play one of the last shows.

This show marked the first performance of new bass player Mel "Mellefson"
Sisneros with Hangar 18. While Mel has played in bands with Dave and
Fro, this is her first time jamming with shredmeister Mikey Friedman.

When you next meet him, ask Dave Chedrick Scott Samuelson about his
new method for instantaneous drum setup! The man, though weidling
such a huge kit, can set up in just minutes!

Wonder where the stagename "Fro" Mustaine came from? Wonder
no more....! And for a history of the Fro, check out Fro

Rattle your gawwddammnnn head!!
Mikey Friedman executes Marty Friedman licks with skill and grace.
The audience was extremely enthusiastic at The Shack, singing along
to every lyric and thrashing about. Up front was Onward's
talented voxman Michael Grant.
A band cannot function well without the courage of the fearless crew.
Here, Fro and Mike bear horns with crewman Big Ron. Hangar 18 would
also like to thank Anna Yost, Dave Watson, Denis "The Moshking"
Recendez, and Chris "Drumslut" Silva for all their help!
