Hangar 18 live at Rooster's Roadhouse
Alameda, CA
July 19, 2003
Hangar
18 made its Bay Area debut at Rooster's Roadhouse in a special
event benefitting the National
Multiple Sclerosis Society. Lots of metal and a good cause
made for a very convivial atmosphere, and a GREAT audience. The
band had a great time both performing the show and taking
a trip on the open road.

The roadhouse was small, but the crowd was many and
enthusiastic. Lots of headbanging made Hangar 18 feel quite welcome!
One rabid rattlehead drove 50 miles for the show, and proudly showed
off his Vic Rattlehead tattoo.

Mega-headbanging with William "Fro Mustaine" Rustrum
and Melanie "Mellefson" Sisneros.

They say no rest for the wicked. Michael "Mikey Friedman"
Johnson drove up to the Bay Area after working all night long, and
brought even more work with him. But his playing and performance
was top notch.

Hangar 18 pulled out a tune that the band hadn't played
in a very long time, "Hook in Mouth" and were very pleased to see
the audience shouting along "F - R - E - E - D - O - M".

The Rooster's Roadhouse
show featured guitarist Michael "Mikey Friedman" Johnson.
Dave Scott Chedrick Samuelson pauses to give a smile
and horns up to our photographer, Carol Anderson. Don't be surprised
if you see Dave on the road in the very near future with one of thrash
metal's pioneers. Details coming soon.
Mikey Friedman also shows the sign of Metal!

Mellefson tackles some background vocals in a pose
normally reserved for the dentist.

Hangar 18 held a drawing for a VH1 Behind the Music with Megadeth
DVD. The lucky winner was Jeff Compton, bass player for the killer
Metallica tribute Damage, Inc. The bill also included a fiery performance
(in more ways than one) from Hail Satan, a tribute to Mercyful Fate,
and the hard-edged Black Betty, opening the night with classic rock
and metal hits.

Flyer Gallery: The poster for the Rooster's Roadhouse
show featured the Symphony of Destruction and the inclusion of our
new tagline: Megadeth is Our Business... and Business is good. Oh
so true!
Special thanks to our fellow band mate and our crew, who made the
long trip up the grapevine with us: Marty "Vic" Doty,
