Hangar 18 live at Paladino's
Tarzana, CA
May 21, 2005

Brutal Metal at our favorite hang out, Paladino's in Tarzana, CA -- that's what a warm Saturday night brought forth for eager rattleheads. The show featured our friends Damage, Inc. (Tribute to Metallica) and Domination 101 (Tribute to Pantera) -- you can't go wrong with an evening of Megadeth, Metallica, and Pantera, now can you?

Well, okay, maybe the only thing wrong about the night was the fact that our name was once again misspelled on the marquee. Or perhaps "Hanger" instead of "Hangar" wasn't a spelling error... perhaps Paladino's was trying to cross promote with the coin-op laundromat next door...

Happy Metal fans inside the club watch Marty "Vic" Doty and the rest of Hangar 18 pull a set of shreddin' Megadeth favorites.

Hmmmmm... something is very different about Hangar 18 here...

... did Mellefson cut her hair? Actually, filling in on bass that night was the legendary thrashmeister, Steve Gaines (Abattoir, Anger as Art), who tore through the set with energy, precision and professionalism.

And look for the illustrious Mr. Gaines to be sharing a stage with this gentleman more in the very near future. William "Fro Mustaine" Rustrum has recently joined ranks with Steve in a killer original thrash metal band called Anger as Art. Look for forthcoming AofA shows on Moshking.com!

Meanwhile, in his other life, Dave Scott Chedrick Samuelson continues to wow crowds across the country with his original metal band Hirax. Dave Scott recently played festivals and shows in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and in Minneapolis.

Dave Scott bears many fine tattoos down both his arms, artwork that tells stories about his life's adventures.

Special thanks to Steve Gaines for taking on the bass duties for the night, and to Carol "Photo Mistress" Anderson and Denis "The Moshking" Recendez.
