Hangar 18 at St. James Gate; Bay Area Tributes Cinco de Mayo Festival
Belmont, CA
May 2, 2009

Cinco De Mayo has become a holiday associated with mas partying, mas cerveza, and great music! Bay Area Tributes hosts quite the annual metal tribute ball of balls, and Hangar 18 was honored to have been invited to celebrate alongside our Bay Area brethren.

There were two stages, an outside stage and an inside stage. Due to scheduling, Hangar 18 got thrash it out on the inside. Sweat, headbanging, metal by the San Francisco bay... doesn't get any better than that!

Standing room only! Getting all our gear into this crowded room was quite an adventure!

Melanie "Mellefson" Sisneros bears teeth. I'm sure William "Fro" Mustaine is too, but you can't see his pearly whites behind his bushy fro.

William "Fro Mustaine" Rustrum worked all day and then drove up to the Bay Area for the show!

Flyer Gallery: An unused design for the flyer for this gig, designed by Melanie Sisneros, who later abandoned it because there was waaaayyy too much information to be contained on this design.

Flyer Gallery: The flyer produced by the promoter, Lynda Mortenson from Bay Area Tributes, was a little more inclusive and indicative of the scale of the event!

Special thanks to Carol Anderson for snapping these pix!
