Hangar 18 live at The Galaxy Theatre
Santa Ana, CA
October 15, 2004

It was exactly a year and ten days since the last time we played the Galaxy Theatre. This time we joined our friends, Creeping Death - The Masters of Metallica - in what was touted to be one of their last Orange County appearances. Also on the bill were tribute legends Mr. Crowley and High Voltage, a tribute to AC/DC.

What a phenomenal audience!! Megadeth t-shirt-clad Rattleheads moshed and banged heads and screamed with so much enthusiasm, we were blown away!

Fretshreddin' Marty "Vic" Doty bares the skin of his teeth as Hangar 18 debuted that very new tune in our setlist. Clinging onto his schedule by the skin of his teeth, Marty rescheduled some vacation plans to do this show, and thus had to jump on a plane very early in the morning. Good thing sleep is highly overrated.

William "Fro Mustaine" Rustrum displays his guitar prowess, honed by his ongoing education at the Musicians Institute in Hollywood, to a sea of hands and hair.

Melanie "Mellefson" Sisneros bangin' dah big bad bass in denim and leather.

The Galaxy stage is quite roomy, even though Hangar 18 only used half the stage.

Team Six-String, Fro n Marty trade leads.

Flyer Gallery: The new Galaxy poster design features artwork from the new Megadeth album, The System Has Failed, plus the live Rude Awakening cover makes a great background! The flyer was assembled by Melanie Sisneros, with some help from Adobe Photoshop and InDesign and her trusty iMac.

Special thanks to Randy Doty for spotlight and video and to Jenny Warren for taking the still shots featured on this page.
