Hangar 18 Live at The Crossroads
Yucaipa, CA
January 18, 2003

The Crossroads is the Inland Empire's best kept secret - it is a huge venue with a professional sound system, plenty of room for rockin out or relaxing with twenty of your closest friends over a pitcher of beer. Located along the 10 freeway on the way to Palm Springs, The Crossroads often draws groups of leather-clad, Harley-mounted bikers, but it is by no means a biker bar. And on that cold January night, Hangar 18, along with the killer tribute to Queensryche, Prophecy and the ultimate Alice in Chains tribute, Alice Unchained, showed the Crossroads that metal is still king.

The Crossroads stage was plenty roomy for the four-pronged assault of Hangar 18. A great big thanks to Bobby from Alice Unchained for inviting us to be a part of this awesome bill.

The show was a reunion of a sort for Mellefson and Dave Chedrick Scott Samuelson and Prophecy's Tony "Geoff Tate" DeVita. The three had played in the progressive power metal band New Eden together. Now they happily shared a night of metal tribute.

Dave Chedrick Scott Samuelson often receives compliments on the custom cymbal stands that adorn his massive drumkit. In addition to being a killer drummer, Dave is also a talented welder.

The relentless dual-axe attack of Mikey Friedman and Fro Mustaine!

After the show, members of the band hung out and partied. Thanks to Nick Laux of Prophecy for this picture and for video footage.

Also, thank you to our fearless crew, Big Ron and Anna Yost. As they say on Scooby Doo, we couldn't have a show without ya!
