Hangar 18 live at Canes
San Diego, CA
June 7, 2003

Despite being rescheduled and being a rainy day, the crowd at Canes was populous and ready to rock! The bill featured only two tribute bands, Hangar 18 and our buds Creeping Death - the Masters of Metallica, so each band was able to perform for over an hour.

Whole lotta headbangin' going on as Hangar 18 played over an hour's worth of Megadeth's greatest hits, from "Rattlehead" to "Symphony of Destruction".

When he's not shreddin' it on stage with Hangar 18, Michael "Mikey Friedman" Johnson can be seen behind the scenes running H18's light show.

Hangar 18's fretshredders Marty "Vic" Doty and William "Fro Mustaine" Rustrum receive a warm response and hails from the metal crowd.

Fro Mustaine dedicated "Go to Hell" to the things and people that frustrated drummer Dave Scott Chedrick Samuelson. The list, however, was a bit too long to read out on stage.

After spending a week's vacation at Walt DisneyWorld the week before, bassist Melanie "Mellefson" Sisneros fights herself from busting out into a metal version of "It's a Small World After All".

Special thanks to our fellow band mate and our crew, who drove all the way down to San Diego with us; without you the show would not have been possible: Michael "Mikey Friedman" Johnson, Anna Yost, Dave Watson, and Jeff Fahnestock (photo and video).
